About St. David's Episcopal Church

Founded in 1906, St. David's is steeped in the riches of traditional Anglican worship which embraces the wondrous richness of the mystery of God.  Here you and your family will encounter a people willing to embrace the complexity of modern life, not because we know all the answers, but because we have responded to the biblical call to be unafraid.

Christian Education is very important at St. David's both for children and adults.

Classes meet each Sunday during the academic year beginning at 9:00 a.m.

St. David's commitment to the inclusion of children takes the form of a weekly family-oriented Eucharist with a service bulletin containing the entire service, the use of familiar hymns, and the opportunity to participate in Children's Chapel (following the reading of the Gospel through the Choir's Anthem - approximately 20 minutes - designed especially for them).

A further evidence of the commitment to the formation of the youngest generation, St. David's Day School enjoys the reputation of being one of the finest in the metro area.  You can use the "Day School" tab at the top left of the webpage to learn more about the Day School.

Children are welcome at all of our services but as a convenience for parent who desire it, we offer nursery for infants and toddlers (through age 2) beginning at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday mornings.  The nursery is conveniently located adjacent to the Great Hall on the level below the main worship space.

Please visit the Music Page to see a description of one of the finest programs in the area.

St. David's cares about her surrounding community and many people from the parish participate in Outreach Activities of an astonishing variety.

The clergy and professional lay staff offer themselves to you as you experience the joys and sorrows of life.  Their telephones and email addresses can be found on the Staff Page.

St David's Church is easy to find, and you will find an easy entrance to worship off Roland Avenue just north of the Johns Hopkins Homewood Campus.  Painted a cheerful and tasteful yellow, the refurbished Church, gathering spaces, Day School, attractive parish offices, music suite and Sunday school rooms support our varied ministries.  Free parking is easily available along Roland Avenue and adjacent side streets.
