Education for adults takes a variety of forms throughout the year, and this is an an area in which we would like to expand opportunities. Recent offerings have included
Sunday Morning Forum
Small group study of the Bible, the Creeds, Christian writers, etc. Participants are encouraged to suggest topics of interest for future study. The sessions are often led by lay members of the congregation.
Topics of interest to those desiring to join The Episcopal Church, curious about our denomination, or refreshing their understanding of what it means to be an Episcopalian. This class usually meets on Sunday mornings for about 6 sessions leading up to a bishop's visitation for Confirmation.
Coffee with the Rector
An opportunity to engage the rector in informal conversation on topics of interest to those who attend.
During the 5 weeks between Ash Wednesday and Holy Week we gather one evening per week for a simple supper of soup & bread prepared by volunteers, followed by small group conversations on a Biblical or theological theme. We close our time together with the daily office of Compline. Sessions are 'stand-alone' so that individuals can attend one or more as they are able.
